Day 01: Arrival in Mandalay (your own tickets, flight information to be advised)(D)
Upon arrival, you clear the customs formalities yourself. Meet on arrival at Mandalay International airport. Our guide will welcome you. Then transfer to hotel and check in to the hotel (if available). (The regular check-in time is at 2:00 p.m., early check-in is NOT included and subject to availability upon check-in time). We’ll start with the Maha Muni sacred site, home to one of the country’s most revered Buddha images, covered with gold leaf. Afterwards, we’ll explore Mandalay’s artisans’ workshops to observe the making of wood carvings, kalaga tapestries, marble carving, and gold-leaf hammering, using techniques which remained unchanged for centuries and were used to craft items for the Royal Court. We’ll top our day with a visit to Kuthodaw Pagoda, whose 729 marble stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures have earned it the title of the ‘World’s Biggest Book’ and a visit to Golden Teak Monastery. This intricately carved building was once a part of the Mandalay Palace, used as private meditation apartments by King Mindon and his chief queen. We’ll end the day with a drive up to the landmark Mandalay Hill to enjoy the magnificent views from the summit, before being rewarded with an authentic Mandalay style dinner. Dinner at local Restaurant. Overnight at the hotel in Mandalay.
Day 02: Pyin Oo Lwin Touring / Coffee Plantation Touring (B,L)
Early morning breakfast at hotel, transfer to Pyin Oo Lwin, 65km (approx. 1:30hrs) from Mandalay, (Maymyo, flower city or hillock step city was a British Hill station during the Colonial also in current pretty little hill resort for visitors). Then visit to one of the country’s speciality coffee plantations. 2hrs guided coffee tour and hiking 40 acre with the lush tree-
shaded coffee fields, the tropical hills you will discover how coffee I grown and harvested. The local farmer will guide you to understand the process of milling coffee green beans. You will have chance to strap on a picking basket and begin picking the really dark red ripe beans. Freshly roasted coffee will be cupped using pour over. (The season lasts from last week of November to April. Advance bookings are recommended). Lunch will be served at Pan Taw Win restaurant. The another highlight is National Kandawgyi Garden (about 50 acre in size containing , 4048 trees mostly pine varieties, 575 different floral species and many exotic fruits and flowers and Chinese Temple. Before back to Mandalay, take a free walking around down town area by exploring the British buildings and cottages. Then, back to Mandalay. Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.
Day 03: Yangon Departure (B)
After breakfast at hotel, transfer to airport to proceed your international flight for returning journey.
